We Were So Disappointed With Cebu Pacific

Good morning,

I am writing this email to air my disappointment with Cebu Pacific. I hope that this will be forwarded to the proper channels.

Yesterday, we were supposed to take this flight for Pudong, China:

5J 678 MO07JAN MNLPVG ETD 2040

However, due to the weather condition in Pudong, our flight was cancelled, officially announced in the waiting room at around 10 pm of Jan 7, that is more than an hour after the supposed flight. At least an hour later, at past 11 pm, it was announced that a special flight the following day at 07Jan ETD 2125 will instead take us to Pudong, that we shall wait for an escort to claim our luggages, and that Cebu Pacific will not be providing accomodations for its passengers!

To the ire of both Filipino and foreign passengers, we got our luggages and tried to have it stored within the airport premises. It was a futile attempt as they only accept to store bags from arriving passengers. So we figured Cebu Pacific the ticketing office in the Domestic Airport maybe of help since it is the only office that we are aware of that is open at the time. We were also rejected. So in early morning and without private transportation, we carried back our luggages back to Bulacan, despite the danger of travelling late with my sister who is my flightmate. And yes, we have to bring them back again later on for a flight that is scheduled for even a later time.

It also makes me wonder why Cebu Pacific were not able to accomodate us for their next available flight for Pudong which is around 4:20 am today? Weren't we waiting earlier for the chance that the visibility in Pudong will improve? When we saw the flight table at around 12:30 am, this flight status is still not cancelled.

For me and the fellow passengers who had a hard time waiting earlier, bringing home the lugggages to greater lengths, and adjusting to their broken schedules (Me and my sister also had to suffer for cancellation of our booking fee in the Shanghai hotel due to this delay), this incident simply leaves a sour taste in our mouths and makes us think that CEBU PACIFIC DOES NOT CARE A BIT ABOUT ITS PASSENGERS.

Funny the logo says Cebu Pacific, It's time everyone flies. I reckon a change is wanted: Cebu Pacific, Everyone flies but not IN TIME.

Sarcasm aside, I and the rest of the supposed passengers were truly disappointed with the way Cebu Pacific handled the incident. The waiting could have been shorter, the service could have been better.

In the spirit of fairness,

Edgardo Certeza
