And A New Decade Has Begun

Instead of flying directly to Hong Kong to welcome the New Year, I chose to accept the airline offer give me a hotel room in Busan and a little cash in exchange for flying the next morning. Not bad for a chance to celebrate with these friends and avoid some crazy Chinese troublemaker.

So after taking the complimentary dinner in the hotel, I joined my friends in a coffee shop in Seomyeon, Busan before checking out the holiday lights in Nampodong.


The past year saw Joan struggle with her wellness. I'm glad to see that she is now on her way to recovery.

They were supposed to be my company for Christmas, but I got scared of the cold and stayed warm in Geoje so I'm glad that for New Year's, I got to spend a little time with them.

And so this is how the new decade began for me.

11 days into it, there's been several deaths, good news, health and wealth recovery, and a quick travel already.
