Yesterday, my university friend Jun celebrated his birthday. Today, his Goddaughter Mae and my niece celebrates hers. This pic I took when we attended Liam's first birthday. Liam is Jun's son and my Godson.

Stairway To Heaven

I am currently watching the Filipino version of Korean drama Stairway to Heaven, my second Filipino Kdrama after Only You.

These are pics of the Stairway to Heaven in Oedo island in Geoje, my current hometown. Contrary to popular belief, this is not the shooting location of the Korean drama. I have not found an online resource that claims that. This, however is the location for the ending of Winter Sonata according to the Oedo website.

So it's my first full day in Seoul after my Summer '09 vacay in Manila. I was billeted at our company hotel hence I was able to go online again.

Second full day in Seoul is a simply relaxed day.


Watched the movie Up in the cinema near my hotel. This pic however is 8 days earlier in the Philippines with my niece Mae Mae.

After the movie, I booked my dream DMZ tour (I will share stories about this in a later post) for the following day and relaxed at the free hotel.

Of course this day will always be remembered as the Opening of the Beijing Olympics. Historic as it is, the British tourist in the bar in Panglao beach in Bohol, Philippines treated everyone watching the ceremonies to all the drinks they can consume. It was indeed a lucky night.

Earlier during the day, we goofed around Bohol with my Korean guests.

Exactly one month ago, I ended my Summer '09 vacation in Manila and went back to Korea. Here's a couple of pics from the return flight:

After dinner and watching a silent film with friends (tickets courtesy of the Italian Embassy!), Ebe & I went condo hopping in the metro. Nice to see my former university dorm mates move from a tiny space in a dorm to spacious condo units. One such unit is Nino's:

I am excited for next month's PIFF where PHILIPPINES is the country of honor!

We had Jollibee deliver chicken, spaghetti and cheeseburger while watching The Uninvited, the hollywood remake of a fine Korean horror film A Tale Of Two Sisters.

As I welcome the ninth month of the year, al fresco dining and a bit of drinking, District 9, 2NE1, Big Bang, Ogie Alcasid in my ipod, and Noynoy Aquino's candidacy for the presidency, let me share a few pics taken on the first day of my Summer '09 vacay.

Attended Gabby's second first birthday party where I see, for a change, folks in Korea^^

After the party, my nieces and I watched HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE before our dinner in MAX'S with my oldest brother. Tin kept going in and out of the cinema haha.

After an overnight stay at my sister's new house, I moved to Manila where I did/went to the following
